Kingsley Hall and the Legacy of Muriel Lester, a major project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is well underway and will come to completion this summer when the Muriel Lester archives will be available online with a new interactive site. Our next Heritage event: Kingsley Hall & the Children is on Saturday, June 13th 2-5pm.

There will be 5 Health and Healing Day events in 2009, the next is on Saturday July 18th, 11:00am-5:00pm.

A new presentation 'Gandhi - A Life in Pictures', designed for secondary/high school level, has been published by the Gandhi Foundation.

The Philadelphia Association, once based at Kingsley Hall with R.D. Laing in the sixties, is now documenting the experiences of people who have lived in its communities and is looking for Ex-Residents.

Bromley by Bow is soon to be put on the world stage as neighbour to the next olympics. Bromley by Bow has a wonderful history as one of the ancient hamlets east of the Tower. Sited on the river Lea, Bromley by Bow was at the forefront of industrialisation both in this country and in the world. Kingsley Hall is very interested in the regeneration needed of this much neglected part of East London and would welcome any materials that can be added to our local history site.

I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows and doors to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. - M.K.Gandhi
